Avid movie goer?

Post  Bazinga! on Tue Aug 28, 2012 12:42 pm

So, are you an avid movie goer? Which movies do you like best? What have you been to see recently? What are you looking forward to seeing?

I do like going to the movies. I'm probably a little more picky about movies than I am books. I've been to see 'The Avengers' and I thought that was awesome! I kind of like action movies and I've been to see all the movies based a comic book hero. I am looking forward to seeing Paranormal Activity 4 which comes out this October and I also can't wait to see The Seventh Son which comes out in October of 2013 (which I think it sucks that I have to wait that long to see it).

I can't say that I'm an avid movie goer. I don't think there's been a movie recently that I've said, "I've got to see it." There are several movies that I am looking forward to, though. One is, like you, The Seventh Son. The other is The Hobbit. Aside from that, there aren't any movies that I have to see. As for movies that I've watched recently and liked... Maybe The Hunger Games. That's about it, though.

I haven't watched the Hunger Games movie. Is it good? I haven't even read the books?

I won't watch anything when it comes to movies. Like I said, I'm a little more picky with movies than I am books. There aren't many movies that I'm really looking forward to go see other than the ones I've already mentioned.

I liked it, if I recall correctly. I suggest reading the books and, if you like them, trying the movie. There's a lot of differences, though; my mom and I spent the car ride home coming up with them.

Unlike you, I will. Some I look forward to more than others, but I still watch them. Though most of the movies I go see I go because my mom wants to see them.

There are few movies I look forward to nowadays. I don't know why. There are some action movies I like and there are some horror movies I like. Then the rest are movies that are based on a book I've read. That's usually it, outside the occasional comic book movie. If it isn't one I'm looking forward to, then I won't go see it. I won't waste the money to go see it if I'm not interested in it.

I don't think there's been more movies coming out in the next year or two that I've wanted to see. There's The Last Apprentice and The Hobbit. Normally, there's only one that I'm interested in seeing. And I don't blame you for not wanting to waste your money; the only reason that I go see the amount of movies I do is because my parents pay for them.

Now that may be a different story. If someone wants to pay my way into the movies then I might go more often. But if I'm paying my own way then I do go to the movies as often.

Movies I am looking forward to and be willing to pay for with my own money:

Paranormal Activity 4 coming out October 19th of this year. I've seen the first three and have liked them so far. Plus, I have continue to see what happens (unless the movie is so horrible that I continue watching them).

Breaking Dawn part 2 which comes out November 16th of this year. Even though I've already read the books and I know how it ends, I've watched all the previous movies so might as well finish it off.

The Hobbit which we'll get to see the first part on December 14th of this year and I think the second part comes out in December of next year (December 13th to be precise). Watched the Lord of the Rings movies a few years back and have read all the movies. Might as well watch the prequel.

G. I. Joe: Retaliation comes out March 29th of 2013. I'll be going to see that. I like action movies and I liked to first G. I. Joe movie. As long as the movies they keep making are good and they don't beat it to death, I'll go. Plus, the trailer looks interesting.

Iron Man 3 comes out May 3rd of 2013. I've always watched movies based on comic book heroes and always liked them.

Despicable Me 2 comes out July 3rd of 2013. I saw the first one and thought it was hilarious. I have to go see this one.

RED 2 comes out August 2 of 2013. Again, I like action movies and since I liked to first one so much, I'll try the second one and see if I like it as well.

The Seventh Son comes out October 18th of 2013. It was suppose to come out in February of 2013 but it got pushed back for some reason. I'll still go see it because I've read the book it is based on. Have to. This one can't come fast enough.

Thor: The Dark World comes out November 8th of 2013. Again, I've never missed a movie based on comic book heroes.

Anyway, this is probably it for me for the next year and a half or so.

The only movies that you have listed there that I want to see are The Hobbit and The Last Apprentice, like I said, and Despicable Me 2, as I liked the first one if I remember correctly.

I am not an avid movie goer. I have seen like 4 movies in me whole life. I think that's slightly less than the average kid.

You've only seen 4 movies? You poor thing. I would always ask my parents if we could go to the movies but only if there was something at the theater that I really wanted to see. Or unless a friend of mine wanted to go to the movies and they didn't want to go by themselves so they'd ask me to go with them.

I went to see that movie as well. I'll have to agree with you, The Avengers was awesome. I normally like movies based on comic book heroes but I liked the fact that they had a bunch of them in one movie together fighting a common enemy.

What do you mean when you said that it went on a different path? (not trying to be rude, just curious what you mean)

I see.

And it took a little bit for the action to get started. Or at least it seemed that way to me.

I know a movie has to have a little bit of story in it but I think too much just boggs it down and makes it boring.

I have a question or two. What kind of movies would you go see if you were able to go to the movies? Or do you just not like going to the movies?

I have no idea what movies I would like to see. Inception was a movie that I would have liked to see (my bro went but I stayed because I had other stuff to do)... I watched Inception at home on DVD, however, and that's pretty much just as good as going to the theater.

Currently, I am really uninterested in movies/TV whatever. Don't even know what movies are coming out.

I see.

I did see a new trailer for Paranormal Activity 4 last night before I went to bed. Does anyone else watch those movies? I happen to like scary movies and this is suppose to be what everything has led up to as far as the Paranormal Activity movies go (or at least that's what was hinted at in the trailer). I wonder if this will be the last one?
